Learning to Focus

Just a quick note to say I’m trying to focus over here. :) I’m looking and listening for God’s leading. So far everything is blurry.

I’d love your prayers. Please pray for my blog purpose and my writing/speaking ministry. For some reason I’m sensing a change after 5 years here. Not sure what or why. I can’t seem to keep up with all my bloggy friends anymore. And I don’t like that feeling..

Also I’d appreciate prayers because I’m thinking about starting a local photography business. (I had a blast taking senior pics this past weekend.) With everything I love to do, there’s always obstacles, questions, competition, finances involved, and the learning curve. As a stay-at-home mom, I want a flexible way to help supplement our income, especially with Justin starting college next fall.

Look to the LORD and his strength; seek his face always. Psalm 105:4 (NIV)

    Blessings to you Tiffany, Although I've been around checking on you and others, I too have found there are so many to comment on that it is difficult to keep up-plus I don't have kiddos at home anymore.
    Blessings to you on a potential photo business-how exciting! I'll be praying for you and would cherish prayers concerning my health as well-I've got some gallbladder issues etc and just don't want to get sidetracked but to serve Him.

    Blessings Tiffany…Got ya' covered from my end… I totally hear ya' and I'm not in a stay-at-home mom anymore
    (lol). I'm praying that you'll clearly hear God's direction and that He will supply all your needs & questions answered! Photo biz… sounds exciting! Change is hard but it can be good. Sometimes it just isn't possible to visit all our blog friends and as the circle of friends grow, why it gets more & more difficult. It's like that for all of us! Since you are seeking the Lord & His face, He will give you strength & I pray wisdom… try not to do like me though go ahead of Him and then ask Him to bless our choice. He does not need to be convinced for He has a plan for you. Focus…

  • Stuff could always be worse

    Oh I do understand the feeling, I have it all the time. What do I do with a blog? I am not a writer, etc.
    Pray for me also, I feel like I need to write down, our homeless stories…before they are forgotten

      To Kim -
      It doesn’t matter you’re not a writer Kim, write it down. Your experience matters. It matters to God and it matters to you and maybe other people. I’m not a writer either but when you start writing things down- your thoughts, experiences, your feelings about things – anythings – like when you think about life now or when you were a kid – well it opens up a whole new world. I started on scraps of paper, emailed myself even! Now I keep a journal, it’s messy and random but I always date anything entered cause it’s important later sometimes to know when it was written.
      So I encourage you to write, just write it down!

    I have found that wherever God want to lead me, He places my desires and thoughts.

    Pray without ceasing, and give God time to prepare you. Having to wait is the hardest part, but absolutely necessary.

    Just stopping by to say "hello" Tiffany! It was a crazy summer in our home and I did such a poor job of checking in with some of my favorite bloggers. Hope to do better now that life is slowing down just a bit. ;-) Hoping and praying you get clarity for what you feel God is leading you do to.

    I jsut read your "my story" section of your blog and commented. I've been following your blog for some time, though not as regularly as I would like. I'm stunned by how much we have in common. I feel as if God led me here tonight to your story and to your prayer request in this post. I too sense that something is changing – I've just started to feel as if I need to write and speak about the healing God has brought into my life. I asked you to read my testimony written not long ago at http://deborah-heartsongs.blogspot.com, and I just started that blog. I've had a blog about my artwork (and some posts about my faith too), since 2006. I'm feeling less drawn to art and more drawn to writing recently. I'm so new at this. And as I said in my comment to "your story", it's scary sharing your heart and life with people. I will pray for you dear sister and I ask you do to the same for me. God is so faithful. Oh how I love Him.
