Father’s Day morning, my ten-year-old daughter Hannah came into the bathroom and said, “Mom, it’s Father’s Day. I know we celebrate Dad and grandpas, but guess who else we celebrate as father?”
I paused and waited, thinking I might know where she was going.
“I don’t know. Who?”
“God, our Heavenly Father.” Hannah smiled.
I love the heart of my girl. She reminds me to focus on God. I am thankful her heart for both her earthly father and her Heavenly Father…

Sweet blessings to your dear daughter.
Out of the mouths of babes (and their hearts)!
How beautiful! You’ve done a great job!
What a precious thing for your sweet Hannah to say.
It’s awesome how our kids remind us isn’t it?
You know I had a devo due at the Cafe that day. When I wrote it I didn’t realize or even consider that it was Father’s Day. After I posted it I realized it and thought, maybe I should have written something about Fathers…and then it hit me.. I did… I wrote about my Papa.
Thanks again for sharing this sweet nugget!
My Hannah comes home in 5 days!!!!!! I cannot wait to see her face to face.
Hugs,
Julie
